If you've spent time on the water in the Sunshine State, chances are you've heard of the Paddle Florida trips. Maybe you haven't been on one yet. If that’s the case, do yourself a favor and attend the upcoming trip on the beautiful Wekiva and St. Johns Rivers. You can thank me later.
This is a great opportunity not only to see two scenic rivers, but to experience the awesomeness of a kayak camping trip. Paddle Florida hooks you up and makes the trip super easy, with a gear shuttle, catered meals, nightly entertainment and the chance to hang out with lots of like-minded folks who love paddling.
There's only a couple of days left to register for the trip (registration closes on Nov. 22), so don't just sit there wringing your hands and wondering if you should go or not. Just go!
If you don't have a kayak, there's no need to worry. Adventures in Florida is the official outfitter for the Wekiva - St. Johns Ramble, and can provide you with the proper craft that will get you down the river with ease.
Attendees will spend two nights camping at Wekiwa Springs State Park and one night at Wilson's Landing. The trip will conclude with a barbecue at Blue Spring State Park on Monday, Dec. 9.
