So much happens at night in the natural world, but we usually don’t get to see it.
However, there is a great opportunity coming up to paddle through a wild estuary and see and experience nature’s nightlife for yourself.
The guided night paddle takes place on South Creek at Oscar Scherer State Park south of Sarasota on Saturday, Dec. 14, and begins 30 minutes before sunset.
Space is limited, so register early. If you don’t have a canoe or kayak and life jacket, these items are available for rent at the park. The cost is $10 per person.
