What's better than visiting National Parks? Visiting them for free! On Apr. 22-26, entrance fees at National Park properties have been waived in celebration of National Park Week. For folks in Florida, that means places like the Gulf Islands National Seashore, St. Augustine's Castillo de San Marcos and Everglades National Park are yours to explore without having to open your wallet at the entrance.
Think about it: during those five days, you can hit the beach, learn about Florida's history and explore some of the state's most scenic spots on a hike, a kayak trip or a bike ride. That's not a bad way to spend a few days, if you ask me.
