A big congrats to winners of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune's Readers' Choice awards!
Ten of the winning restaurants are members of the Sarasota-Manatee Originals, a not-for-profit organization founded in 2003 dedicated to preserving the culinary heritage of the Suncoast.
"Sarasota Herald-Tribune readers chose their favorite restaurants and Original restaurants won so many of the awards," says Kate Atkin, Sarasota-Manatee Originals' executive director. "This makes perfect sense since our locally owned restaurants are led by forward-thinking originals!
"They’re passionate about what they do and they work hard to stand out from the crowd. Their work is a celebration of Southwest Florida’s culinary distinctiveness — and it's through their efforts that our region is recognized nationally as a top culinary destination."
