Chef Spotlight: Kyle Gibbs of Omni Jacksonville

Our next Celebrity Chef is Chef Kyle Gibbs of the Omni Jacksonville Hotel.    Born and raised in Louisiana, you can see lots of Cajun influence in his favorite foods, including the Blackened Snapper recipe he's shared with us.

Truly an inspiring example of following your calling, his love for cooking started at an early age and he still uses the same red gravy recipe he created when he was only 14 years old.  Chef Gibbs started out as just a server, then became a bartender, then went to culinary school.  From there he went on to become Sous Chef at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center, then was promoted to executive sous chef at the Rib Room at the Omni Royal Orleans, and now we're lucky to have him as Executive Chef  at the Omni Jacksonville.
