Universal Orlando Resort's Superstar Character Breakfast

By: Carrie McLaren

One thing my girls love at theme parks is meeting characters.

Character meals - whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner -- are a great way for kids to meet their favorites and get some personal attention.

At the Superstar Character Breakfast at Cafe La Bamba in Universal Studios park, we met our favorite Nickelodeon characters, E.B. from "Hop," Gru and the crazy Minions from "Despicable Me," Dora and Diego and Spongebob Squarepants, too.

My oldest daughter still talks about how much she loved having breakfast with her “friends” – for her, a big highlight of the trip.

This particular character meal was a buffet with a large variety of hot and cold menu items. It was a fun way for our family to kick off our day at the park. We saved time, too -- there was no need to track down the characters in the park because we'd had breakfast with them!

Be sure to plan ahead; reservations for this particular meal must be made in advance. For more information, check out the Universal Orlando Resort site

How long are the lines to meet the Despicable Me characters? I am planning on booking this breakfast for my 2 toddlers IF the lines to meet the characters out in the park are long. This is the only reason I would book it, not the food (my toddlers wake up very early and they will already have done breakfast by this time lol). So I was wondering if it is worth booking if I am only doing it for the character interaction and not for eating too.
Hi, I am lookin for a Orlando Pack. Do you have any option? Thank you
Answer: Hi Malena,
Thanks for reaching out.
I’m so sorry, but I’m not sure what you’re asking. If you want an information pack from Orlando’s visitors’ services, you can get one here: http://www.visitorlando.com/vacation-planning-kit/
If you’re looking for places to stay in Orlando that might offer packages, check out the following link. You can filter the results by amenities. Or you can just call the visitors’ services and tell them personally what you’d like. http://www.visitorlando.com/places-to-stay/
