I recently discovered a sweet place right here in my hometown of Jacksonville called Sweet Pete’s!
Located in the historic Springfield neighborhood just north of Downtown, Sweet Pete’s is home to a huge variety of sweet treats, taffy, sea salt caramels and gourmet chocolate – all made in-house.
In addition to buying treats, the shop is unique in that families can sign up for personalized sessions to make their own sweets right there in the shop.
When my girls and I visited we helped Pete make Key Lime Lollipops – the hands-on fun was definitely a unique experience.
And the best part – we were able to take our creations home with us! It was a great souvenir, I even wrapped up a few to give as gifts.
For those with dietary needs, Sweet Pete’s believes in using real cane sugar and natural colors and flavoring instead of unnatural products and high fructose corn. You’ll find an assortment of candies and chocolates that are gluten-free and vegan.
We filmed a great video of our visit that I’ll share with you soon. For now, check out www.sweetpete.net to learn more about their tasty treats. If you stop by the shop, be sure and tell Pete I said hello!
