Chad Light, from St. Augustine's Colonial Quarter, portrays Ponce de Leon during the event, retelling stories of the voyage and expedition of Florida in 1513.
And, if you’ve got an interest in tracing your roots, the Daughters of the American Revolution can assist you with genealogical searches to discover your Florida ancestors.
The museum is extremely kid friendly with scavenger hunts and coloring stations located throughout the museum. With the hands-on activities and events, it’s a great place to expose children to the history of the Sunshine State.

Light refreshments will be served during the Explorer Day events and, as always, admission is free.
