I’ve been thinking about where I hope to visit and things I would like to do in 2014. Yesterday, I took a look back at where we’ve been in 2013; today I’m sharing my wish list of experiences for 2014.
Inspired by the iconic beach resorts of the 1950s and 60s, the resort will have a retro feel to it. Highlights include a 10-lane “retro” bowling alley; two main pools; and Universal Orlando’s first lazy river. The resort is considered to be in the value range and even features family suites. These new accommodations will be open in early 2014.
When we visited Steinhatchee last year, it wasn’t scalloping season and ever since then I’ve wanted to go back and give it a try. I’m hoping we can make a return trip this year during sometime June through September.
In 2014, I’m hoping to visit The Florida Keys – I’m overdue for a visit to this beautiful area and my children have never been there. While I’d love to hang out on Duval Street, I’m hoping to also have a quiet getaway with my family to Hawk’s Cay Resort in Duck Key – tons of great water activities I think my girls would love.
What Florida destinations are on your wish list for 2014? I hope you’ll be able to visit the Sunshine State this year!
