Kid Friendly Fun at THE PLAYERS Championship

ADD TO FAVORITES

As a kid growing up in Northeast Florida, one of my favorite times of the year was the week of THE PLAYERS Championship golf tournament in Ponte Vedra Beach.  There’s nothing like watching the world’s best golfers and soaking up the Florida sunshine.

This year’s tournament is May 6-12 and offers fun for the whole family.  Besides all the golfing action, don’t miss the First Tee Challenge, a smaller version of the famous 17th hole where kids and adults can try their luck in reaching the green.

My husband still loves to remind me that he landed his shot on the green. Another new area is the McKenzie Noelle Wilson Kid Zone featuring a putt-putt course, face painting and interactive games.

And here’s a new addition to save you some money - THE PLAYERS Family Plan Package. For $89, the package includes 2 adult grounds tickets, unlimited youth tickets and a $20 concessions credit - a savings of $40.

Also, THE PLAYERS “Four for Free” policy allows 4 or more in a vehicle to park free of charge. And while I’m sharing ways to save, youths 18 and younger are admitted free of charge to the tournament grounds when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

If your child is hoping for autographs of their favorite golfers, check out the “autograph alleys” near the Clubhouse, Practice Areas and the Scoring Area. Don’t forget to bring your Sharpie pen!
