It's time to don a dirndl dress, chow down on wiener schnitzel and drink German beer!

Jacksonville is hosting its own version of Octoberfest Oct. 11-12, 2013. The city’s inaugural Jaxtoberfest family fall celebration will bring new life to the downtown shipyards that have remained vacant for more than a decade.

Jaxtoberfest will feature two days of festivities on the waterfront including:

  • Keg-tapping Ceremony
  • 5K Beer Run
  • Musical Entertainment
  • Beer Barrel Racing
  • Brat Eating Competition
  • Stein Holding Competition
  • Wiener Dog Racing
  • Kinderfest for the Kids

Plus all the German beer you can handle.

Client Focused Media and PRI Productions will host the two-day family fun festival featuring local breweries, restaurants, and special children’s activities. CFM is the same company that produces The Jacksonville Craft and Import Beer Festival, Putt N’ Crawl, and MardiGrasJax.
