We're highlighting Haute Hotels across the Sunshine State and here's a resort on Miami Beach that has a history of hosting star-studded clientele.
When the Fontainebleau opened its doors in 1954, it was the largest and most luxurious hotel in South Florida. A hotspot for celebrities for decades, everyone from Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra to PitBull and Cody Simpson have stayed at the glamorous resort.
Starz' series "Magic City" films many of its scenes at the famous Fontainebleau. The resort has 1,504 guest rooms and suites, located in two new luxury all-suite towers as well as the two original buildings. Special features include eleven restaurants and lounges, a 40,000-square-foot spa and gorgeous oceanfront pool.
Each summer, the Fontainbleau hosts the iHeartRadio Ultimate Pool Party, presented by VISIT FLORIDA. The two-day musical event is part of the Fontainebleau’s BleauLive concert series and features performances by popular recording artists.
If You Go: Set on 22 oceanfront acres, the resort is located on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. For reservations call (305) 538-2000 or visit the resort online.
