A Wedding Jewel in the Nation's Oldest City

By: Kara Franker

Imagine your closest family and friends attending your glamorous wedding reception at a National Historic Landmark that was once a playground for America's most privileged elite.

For the first time in more than forty years, the Grand Ballroom at the former Hotel Ponce De Leon (now Flagler College) can be booked for weddings and receptions in St. Augustine.

Other venues at Flagler College include the Historic Markland House, a spacious and refined estate home with all the charm of the Old South, and the sophisticated and chic Crisp-Ellert Art Museum, nestled in the heart of the historic campus grounds.

Each venue offers multiple options for food, furnishings and entertainment. The College has partnered with the Casa Monica hotel, the Tasting Room restaurant and Flagler Catering Services to provide meal planning and catering.

If You Go: This new offering will launch in spring 2014, and reservations are expected to fill quickly. Bookings will be offered for spring and summer events only. For information on planning a wedding or other special event, please visit www.flagler.edu/weddings or call 904-826-8617.
