Looking for a destination wedding location that has a mix of romance and adventure? I’ve got a great recommendation for you in Southwest Florida. Nestled on 26 acres overlooking the Estero Bay, halfway between Naples and Fort Meyers, sits the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa.

Endless choices await you, because the resort can accommodate nearly any request you may have for your big day.

“The most important thing to us is to make sure that our guests are comfortable and want to come back,” said David Gauthier, the resort’s Director of Sales and Marketing.

The Calusa Ballroom can easily fit up to 600 people for a large wedding. There are also smaller indoor and outdoor spaces that can accommodate ceremonies of any size, including the pool deck, which can be rented out for evening events.

It’s a big resort, with 454 rooms, but you’ll find many places to escape for a little rest and relaxation as you get ready to recite those vows.

The 19,000-square-foot Stillwater Spa has 17 treatment rooms. Try the Water Shiatsu treatment, which allows you to enter into a state of complete relaxation while floating in warm waters (94-98 degrees). It involves a series of free-flowing movements and gentle stretching applied to specific points to increase flexibility and strengthen muscles.

Head over to nearby Lover’s Key and relax on a romantic stretch of gorgeous white sand beach. For a little inspiration, check out these photos

Need a little adventure? Jump aboard the trolley to make your tee time at Raptor Bay Golf Club, practice your serve at the tennis courts or to catch the water ferry from Coconut Point to the shores of Big Hickory Island Park. A boat departs regularly from Coconut Point Marina and will whisk you away to a secluded beach on the Gulf of Mexico.

The resort has tons of water features perfect for families, including a grand fountain pool, children’s lagoon, 25-yard lap pool and get ready for the best part -- a 140-foot water slide! Rumor has it that the resort hopes to add a water park to the property in the future. Shhhh, don’t tell anyone I told you.
