There’s S’more to Love at Daytona Shores

By: Lauren Tjaden

National S’mores Day is Sat., Aug. 10, 2013, promising 24 hours of happiness for gooey chocolate lovers. But in Daytona Beach Shores, that single day is just the beginning -- there’s lots s'more to come.

That’s because The Shores Resort & Spa is marking the occasion with a week-long celebration, Aug. 11-17, 2013. The celebration boasts culinary activities and special offers, including a nightly Shores S’morgasbord around Oceanfront fire pits, a s’mores manicure and pedicure at the Indulge Spa, private gourmet s’mores experiences and more.

Known for gifting each room with a complimentary s’mores kit, The Shores Resort & Spa is also inviting guests to post their favorite s’mores recipes on the resort’s Facebook page for a chance to win a two-night stay for two.  In addition, the winner will have their recipe printed and included in all Shores signature S’mores Kits.

During the celebration week, guests can gather each evening at the oceanfront fire pits from 5 to 7 p.m. for the Shores S’morgasbord, complete with goodies you can add to perfect your concoction, like peanut butter cups, fresh fruit slices, candied bacon, gummy worms, and popcorn.  You can create your own masterpiece or take direction from the resort’s Executive Chef, who will be conducting specialty s’mores cooking demonstrations.

Or you can indulge in private. Just book a stay in the S’mores Sweet. This limited time offer includes a mini fire pit and tray of specialty s’mores enhancements brought to your oceanfront terrace guest room for a private roasting experience. (Use the Promo Code SMOR13 to reserve.)

For the ultimate s’mores experience, you can reserve one of the resort’s private Oceanside cabanas, complete with a private fire pit, champagne, gourmet s’mores and a personal attendant.

Now that’s the kind of sticky situation I can embrace!
