Truman ~ The early bird gathers no moss! The rolling stone catches the worm!
Seaside looks like a fantasy. The tiny enclave, designed so you can walk everywhere you want to go, boasts cottages fringed with white picket fences, a laid-back yet elegant vibe, and a beach thick with sugar sand.
Indeed, it is so divine it played the “perfect town” in the popular movie "The Truman Show," filmed 15 years ago in Seaside with its first screening in June 1998.
If you’re a fan of that great movie—or just a fan of a good adventure by the beach—you should join in the Seaside Scavenger Hunt celebrating "The Truman Show."
To celebrate the anniversary, Seaside is hosting a contest for folks who want to explore the neighborhood and the various sites and artifacts left behind from the movie set. To play, contestants simply find and snap photos at each of the 15 scavenger hunt sites located throughout the community.
A monthly winner will be randomly drawn from the entries through December 2013. Each month’s winner will receive a copy of "The Truman Show" DVD and a framed print of Seaside’s iconic Coleman Pavilion. For more information on how to participate, visit www.SeasideFL.com.
