The night we stumbled into our condo at the Eden, exhausted and worn from the road, the first thing we noticed was the elegant décor and huge rooms. The second thing we noticed was the view.
We had our own private patio overlooking Perdido Key, an endless sweep of beach stretching as far as we could see in either direction. Mother Nature was in the mood to show off, gifting us with a full moon shimmering diamonds on the Gulf. We slept with the doors thrown open, with the melody of the surf to lull away any nightmares, in a bed lush with pillows.
The same view we had enjoyed the night before was different in the morning. The sugar-sand blushed pink and orange in the morning sun. Below, a waterfall tumbled into a palm-fringed aqua pool. Umbrellas and beach chairs stood at the ready, mostly empty.
During our stay, we watched ‘our’ beach blanketed in fog, threatened by storms, and bathed in sunlight.
It turns out Eden Condominiums has many moods. For us, they were all paradise.
