The artwork is stunning: There’s a woman, posed on a beach towel, her skin glistening in the sun, and a Blue crab dancing under the surf. There’s a laughing child, picking up a shell – and so much more, literally blocks of creations, begging to be discovered.
Every line of every piece is rendered in chalk—and amazingly, it's all drawn on the sidewalk.
Clearwater Beach invites artists, students, artists groups – and you -- to the second Clearwater Beach Chalk Walk Festival, Oct. 25 -27, 2013. The sidewalks and promenades of Beach Walk (301 South Gulfview Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33767) will become the easels for chalk artwork when artists begin work on Friday afternoon. They’ll work through the weekend on their compositions; judging and awards will take place on Sunday afternoon.
The Festival hours are from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Make sure to visit before the Festival draws to a close!
