If you're looking for a sweet way to stay cool during these last few hot days of summer, then check out the HipPOPS food truck in South Florida. Described as "handcrafted deliciousness on a stick," these popsicles are not your ordinary icey confection. They're all-natural, gluten-free, ORB Kosher Certified gelato, sorbet and frozen yogurt in creative flavors such as spicy Mexican Chocolate Chipotle, Blood Orange, and Green Apple Wasabi. They also offer the classics such as hazelnut, vanilla bean, and Belgian chocolate.
But what makes them truly unique is the way they're served, dipped in European chocolate and topped with your choice of nut "poppings," including crushed pistachios, hazelnuts, almonds, and/or pecans. I don't know about you, but creamy gelato dipped in dark chocolate and crushed almonds sounds like a dreamy dessert to me!
Made daily in small, handcrafted batches in the company's micro-creamery in Dania Beach, HipPOPs is the creation of frozen dessert industry veteran Anthony Fellows.
"I was looking for a new venture that would have a very local feel and offer a delicious, unique, and healthy new dessert option in South Florida. Gelato became the natural choice because of its rich, creamy texture and significantly lower fat content compared to ice cream. I knew we could do something special and fun by delivering these desserts from a hip, cool truck. HipPOPs was born, and my passion took over," said Fellows.
