Apalachicola is one of my favorite towns in all of Florida. You can’t beat its charm and beauty – or its seafood. That’s why I’m excited to tell you about the 49th Annual Florida Seafood Festival taking place Nov, 2-3, 2012, in Historic Apalachicola.

This wonderful family event is held at the mouth of the Apalachicola River under the shady oaks at Battery Park. Bring your camera and your appetite. This is an event that’s suitable for all ages. Here are some highlights:

  • 5K Redfish Run
  • Downtown parade
  • Oyster shucking and eating contests
  • Live music
  • Arts and crafts

On Saturday, Nov. 3, the musical headliner is country music star Lee Brice. See him live at 8 p.m. Here's the schedule of Festival events.

Great accommodations are still available. Call a Vacation Planner at 877-603-3247 to book a weekend of seafood and fun or click the link.

For more info, log on to the festival’s website.
