Water temperatures along Florida's Atlantic Coast has dropped into the high 60s, especialy in the lagoons, from Stuart northward. We're enjoying light winds, sunny days and cool, dry air as well. It was a matter of time before the "bug" spread, and spread it has. I'm talking about pompano fever.

It's just like gold fever. This fish sells for upwards of $8 a pound, it's so delicious. It's late-fall return to Central and South Florida generally coincides with the return of our northern friends who are wise enough to forego cold winters in the northeast, and get down here for some great fishing.
