From Wet to Wild
Adventure Island, Busch Gardens’ water park, is a tropical water world just meant for fun in the sun. This 30-acre park has it all - waterfalls, slides, a giant wave pool, rambling river and family activities for every age. Book a cabana or chickee hut, so you can soak up the island vibe while the kids surf and splash through the waterways.
Across from Adventure Island, Busch Gardens offers a unique combination of animal adventures, attractions and entertainment as one of America’s premier zoos and family theme parks. The sights and sounds of Africa are all around, from the safaris and tours of wild animals in their natural habitats, to amazing roller coasters, thrill rides, Broadway-style shows and live entertainment.
Chill Out at Iceploration
In its biggest production to date, Iceploration, Busch Gardens brings a new generation of ice shows to the stage, featuring world-class skaters, aerial performances, larger-than-life puppets, original costumes and music.
Across the African Serengeti, Great Barrier Reef, the Arctic and Amazon rainforest, you’ll share in the experiences of Austin and his grandfather as they explore the four corners of the world.
In keeping with Busch Gardens nature theme, 21 animals star in the show, including a flock of sun conures that dramatically fly from the stage – and if you’re not sure what conures are, now’s the time to find out! The 30-minute show is included in the park’s daily admission price.
Shifting from entertainment to education, a visit to the Museum of Science and Industry’s Mummies of the World exhibit is not to be missed. This never-before-seen collection of rare mummies from South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania and Egypt features the largest collection of human and animal mummies and related artifacts ever assembled.
Junior archaeologists and wannabe scientists will be fascinated by this unique exhibit that includes interactive kiosks and displays explaining the natural mummification process and how technology has aided scientists in the study of mummies and their understanding of ancient civilizations. MOSI hosts the exclusive Florida engagement of Mummies of the World through Sept. 9. Advanced reservations are recommended.
