I have a fondness for vehicles (I've written books about motorcycling across America), but I've never in my life driven an ATV or dune buggy. That oversight was cleared up a few days ago at Revolution Off Road in Clermont, an enterprise launched by Brits Kevin and Audrey Jowett to give people like me (and you) a place to test drive vehicles that provide a burst of adrenaline while giving you a chance to enjoy the wide open country. When you're done driving, hang around and enjoy bass fishing on a broad lake created within the banks of an old sand mine.
If you're near Clermont (near Orlando), give this a try. It's right on SR 33, an interesting road which features other exciting outdoor activities including Quest Air Hang Gliding (tandem hang gliding) and Seminole-Lake Gliderport (sailplanes).
If twirling in a teacup is a little too tame, SR 33's trio of outdoor activities should more than compensate.
