Wine, Women & Shoes

By: Jeanette Scott

Last year, I had the opportunity to attend a fabulous event here in Orlando. It's called Wine, Women & Shoes and combines some of my favorite things – shopping, runway shows and charity! (See my personal pictures from last year's event here.)  This year in Orlando, the event will be held at Rosen Shingle Creek on Saturday, April 28, from 2-6 p.m. and the proceeds benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.

The event includes:

  • hors d’oeuvres
  • wine
  • shopping from local and national boutiques
  • a live auction
  • a silent auction
  • a fashion show presented by Saks Fifth Avenue Florida Mall
  • yours truly will be judging the “Best in Shoe” contest (in conjunction with my personal blog), so wear your most fabulous shoes!

“This event is perfect for women who love shopping, sampling fine wines and giving back to their community,” said Dave Krepcho, President/CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank. “Wine, Women & Shoes brings it all together in one place, so that attendees can be treated to an afternoon of fun, all for a noble and necessary cause.”

More than 300 guests are expected to attend the event, and Wine Women & Shoes is the only event of its kind where 100 percent of the ticket proceeds go towards fighting hunger in Central Florida. To purchase tickets, go here.

Also be sure to check out the other Wine, Women & Shoes events happening in the state of Florida:

  • Tampa is scheduled for fall 2012 and will benefit the Children's Dream Fund.
  • Palm Beach is scheduled for November 2012 and will benefit the Miami Children's Hospital. Go here for more details on these events!
