Personally, I love collecting recipes when I travel and coming home to stir up a fun mess in the kitchen. If you're like me and consider yourself an "explorer of food," then I have a new monthly series you're not going to want to miss... Florida's Celebrity Chefs.
Each month I'll be featuring stories, recipes and video cooking demonstrations by Florida's talented chefs. From award-winning clam chowder recipes, to healthy southern cooking, get out your recipe box and food travel itinerary, because I'm going to fill it up!
To kick things off, we have Chef Amadeus from Jacksonville, winner of Food Network's Extreme Chef "Mexican Showdown." He's currently working on a cookbook in collaboration with the Freedom Road Trail and even has his own line of salt-free spice blends. When he's not traveling the U.S. sharing his favorite fusion recipes on his Southern Passion Tour, Chef Amadeus enjoys surprising guests with a "Door Knock Session" where he comes to your home and does a private cooking session with you and your friends.
Just this week, he was in the studio at WCTV in Tallahassee teaching hosts, Art Myers and Gina Pitisci, how to make a healthy 'Po Boy' fish sandwich. Check out the video and look for more of his recipes at ChefAmadeus.com!
