I just spent the most amazing weekend in Key West! It was my first time visiting, and I already can't wait to go back. Paradise is the only word that describes the tropical setting, and the laid-back vibe across the island is like nothing else. I did tons of shopping, and will be sharing all the neat stores I found over the next few weeks. I simply can't go without mentioning my hotel and transportation, though. I stayed at the Sheraton Suites and loved it (right off the most beautiful beach), and I discovered that the Key West Express is an awesome way to travel (it's a high-speed boat that travels from Fort Myers and Marco Island). It was just a quick 3-hour drive from Orlando, and then 3.5 hours on the boat before I reached paradise! Loved it.
So, what did I discover about shopping in Key West? I expected there to be tons of great boutiques, gift shops, etc. and there were. I will be sharing more on the adorable, locally owned spots soon. Today I'm going to start off with something that surprised me though – an impressive list of big-brand chain stores on the island!
