Stroll the winding streets of Coconut Grove with 120,000 of your closest friends! It’s the 49th annual Coconut Grove Arts Festival, Presidents’ Day Weekend. Enjoy three days of fine art, live music, great food and family fun!

The dates are Feb. 18 - 20, and if you like outdoor festivals, this is one you won’t want to miss – It’s the No. 1 Outdoor Fine Arts Festival in the nation. Just be sure to wear your walking shoes because it’s HUGE.

The festival showcases the works of 360 internationally recognized artists, selected from nearly 1,300 applicants. You’ll find artists displaying every medium including mixed media, painting, photography, digital art, printmaking and drawing, watercolor, claywork, glass, fiber, jewelry and metalwork, sculpture and wood.

For a souvenir, pick up a Festival poster. They have inexpensive framing options that you can take advantage of at the festival, too. This year’s poster is by local artist, Marilyn Liedman and it's of the festival itself (an overview from the pool deck of the Sonesta).

Foodies will love the art festival as well. There is Global Food Village at Myers Park along South Bayshore Drive and a Culinary Pavilion where famous chefs will prepare their dishes in front of the crowd. View the 2012 line up.

Festival entry is $10 per person per day. Children 12 and under are free. If you’re a Coconut Grove resident, show your ID and pay $5. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., all three days.
