The month of December brings us many reasons to celebrate, and The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island has just given us one more: a fun Moonlight and Moonpies-themed dinner to celebrate the full moon.
This fine-dining experience at their award-winning restaurant, Salt, will feature a four-course dinner with coffee-rubbed bison tartare, local Redfish in Sunchoke chowder, and pan-roasted Squab.
Chef Rick Laughlin pays tribute to the full moon with a specially designed dessert, an out-of-this-world moon pie with charred marshmallow sandwiched between a bacon graham cracker dipped in chocolate. Bacon, chocolate and marshmallow? I'd say that's a pretty magical moonpie!
After dinner, take advantage of their spectacular oceanfront location and head down to the beach where an astronomer will be on hand to guide stargazers through the night sky.
