Ragland Road's Great Irish Hooley

Ever heard of a Hooley?   I'll give you a hint, it's not something you eat.  Rather, it's something that you experience.  A 'hooley' is Irish slang for a great big party, and Central Florida's first Great Irish Hooley is happening this Labor Day Weekend at Raglan Road Irish Pub & Restaurant in Downtown Disney, Orlando.

They've got a smashing lineup of entertainment lined up all weekend for The Hooley including the U2 tribute band, Elevation.  There will also be Irish dancing, workshops, and my favorite - food!

This is the 'real deal' since everything at Raglan Road -- the owners, the chef, and as they say, "even the bloody buildin'" is from Ireland.  Here you'll be able to taste an array of traditional Irish foods with a modern twist including beer-battered fish & chips, Irish beef & lamb pie, and mouthwatering battered sausages.  You'll also find what Raglan Road calls Heaven on Earth, which are baby back ribs tossed in a Guinness glaze.  Just be sure to save room for Dunbrody's Kiss, a chocolaty dessert that Chef Dundon considers his gift to America.

In addition to a fun menu, they also have quite a few beers available.  What proper Irish pub wouldn't?  If you're really feeling the Irish spirit this weekend, then belly up to their 130-year old pub imported directly from Ireland and order The Four Provinces flight of beer including Guinness, Smithwicks, Harp, and Kilkenny.
