It's no secret; Florida doesn't have any mountains. But it does offer epic hang gliding, thanks to its soft thermals, abundant landing fields and top-notch teaching facilities.

Pilots get airborne by towing behind high-powered, slow flying airplanes. When they reach the desired altitude, they release from the tow plane and fly on their own. Experienced pilots can circle in thermals to stay aloft, often flying for hours and even covering hundreds of miles on cross-country flights.
