Florida has the best food anywhere (I know it does because I’ve been everywhere) and during October, you’ll have a chance to “taste-drive” 18 restaurants in and around St. Augustine that range from casual beachside hangouts to upscale eateries.

'Flavors of Florida’s Historic Coast' takes place from Ponte Vedra south through St. Augustine and down to Crescent Beach. In addition to being one of the most beautiful cities in the U.S., the coastline that stretches north and south from America’s Oldest City is absolutely idyllic so you can pair up your meal with a dip in the ocean (just wait an hour after eating).

Each restaurant will offer an impressive "Chef’s Choice" fixed price three-course meal and you’ll find those listed at HistoricCoastFlavors.com. It’s going to be great, with lunch and dinner menus ranging from fresh seafood, gator tail and frog legs to Thai coconut chicken soupe (not a typo), guava glazed grilled pork tenderloin, blackened filet mignon tips capresse and warm peach bread pudding.

For more information, call 800-494-1420 and then considering staying at least a day or maybe a year or two in St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra and the beaches. Also, check out the links above where you'll find numerous features and videos about this incredible area.
