The Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa is home to a handful of new dining options, following a huge, resort-wide renovation.
The resort is located in Destin in Northwest Florida (incidentally, Destin was just named one of TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice 2011 top 25 destinations in the entire country. Check out my blog post on this.).
First, the new Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill, which offers casual fare like fresh seafood, fish tacos, burgers, salads and tropical drinks, has re-opened after a deck fire completely destroyed it last October.
The new Barefoot’s is better than before, with a new location between the hotel’s two outdoor pools, plus a new layout and design offering a stunning, completely unobstructed view of the Gulf.
Also included in the recent $6.5 million renovation project: the Sand Bar, located directly on the beach, offering cocktails and tropical drinks; Picnix Poolside Market; The Coffee Shop; and expanded beachfront deck areas including both “sunrise” and “sunset” decks.
I should also note that the resort is already home to Seagar’s Prime Steaks and Seafood, which is Northwest Florida’s first (and Destin’s only) AAA Four-Diamond restaurant.
If you’d like to sample some of the resort’s new dining offerings, you can take advantage of The Spring Celebration package, available through May 26. It includes special springtime rates starting at $279 per night, two lattes at The Coffee Shop, two cocktails at Barefoot’s and two lunches at Picnix Poolside Market.
