St. Pete/Clearwater is a busy destination this weekend.
Thousands are expected to descend on the region for a few major happenings.
First, less than six months after opening, the new Dalí Museum will welcome its 200,000th visitor this weekend. That number is actually higher than the average annual number of guests that visited the museum’s previous facility.
So to celebrate, the 200,000th visitor will be given a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum as well as a free family museum membership.
Also this weekend is the ninth annual St. Pete Pride festival, today in the Grand Central District (Central Avenue between 21st and 28th streets).
This is the largest gathering of its kind in Florida. There will be a lively parade and a promenade with vendors from across the state. For more info, click www.stpetepride.com.
