I admit it.
I have been called a sand-snob before – with good reason! I am particular about my beaches. I notice if the water is clear, how steeply the bottom drops off, what the town is like, and if you have to pay for parking. I notice how soft the sand is, and how clean. I notice its color.
Which is why lovely Lido Key is one of my all-time favorites.
This little gem is located by Sarasota, just a splash north of famed Siesta Key. Its beach features emerald-colored, clear waters and soft white sand, and you can shop 'til you drop in nearby, upscale St. Armands Circle.
Check out my video for a peek at this sweet seaside escape. Be forewarned – it might just tempt you to grab your flip-flops and go!
