What is it?
LEGOLAND is a brand of interactive theme parks specifically geared toward families with children ages two to 12. LEGOLAND Florida will offer more than 150 acres of interactive fun.
Where is it?
LEGOLAND Florida is in Winter Haven, in Central Florida. The Park was built on the site of the former Cypress Gardens attraction – about a 45-minute drive south of Orlando’s theme parks or east from downtown Tampa.
Will they have rides?
LEGOLAND Florida will have more than 50 rides, shows and attractions; and nearly all the rides are hands-on so you can push, pull, pedal, steer, squirt, climb and build your way to unforgettable memories. The term "pink knuckle" is used to describe their rides so you won’t have to worry about them being too scary. They are family friendly all the way.
What else will they have?
In addition to the interactive rides and attractions, you will discover shows, restaurants, shopping and colorful landscaping – all on a lakeside setting.
What are the highlights?
When you first enter, you’ll find The Big Shop, one of the largest LEGO retail stores in the world featuring LEGO and LEGOLAND merchandise of all shapes, colors and sizes.
In Fun Town, see how LEGO bricks are made on the Factory Tour then take in an action-packed, 4-D show. Reward your bravery with the Park’s signature dessert, Granny’s Apple Fries (crisp, Granny Smith apples powdered with cinnamon and sugar, served with a creamy sweet vanilla sauce)!
The heart of every LEGOLAND park is Miniland, made with millions of LEGO bricks, but this Miniland USA version will dazzle Florida visitors! It will feature spectacular reproductions of American landmarks, including Washington, D.C., New York City and Las Vegas. There will also be a special Florida section highlighting the entire state from Mallory Square in Key West to the antebellum mansions in the Panhandle. You’ll also find Florida icons like the Kennedy Space Center. At the interactive Daytona International Speedway® racing experience, you can race LEGO brick cars.
In the DUPLO® Village, toddlers can fly a plane, drive a car and use their imaginations. This entire area was designed with their size in mind.
