Where's the best seafood in Naples? Well, if you ask the locals, you won't find it on the beach or in the tourist hot spots. In fact, this local secret is one you might drive right on by and not even notice. Tucked away in Parkshore Plaza on Tamiami Trail, you'll find USS Nemo. There are no ocean views, but the wood paneling, circular ship windows, wall-mounted fish tanks and candle-lit tables will have you feeling like you're on an elegant ship out at sea.
The USS Nemo has been recognized by Gulfshore Magazine and Florida Trend for their creative cuisine, and if you ask any Naples native, they'll tell you it's the tastiest seafood in Southwest Florida.
International ingredients are cleverly blended together producing delicious dinner menu choices such as Miso Broiled Seabass with citrus ginger butter sauce and Grilled Swordfish Cioppino with saffron crab risotto, mussel, shrimp and chorizo in a tomato and red wine reduction.
Discovering the USS Nemo during my last trip to Naples was a pleasant surprise. Be sure to add this to your "must-try" list next time you are visiting the area.
