One of the great American sporting traditions is revving up right now for its weekly celebration: High school football. Of course you can see local games in just about every town in the US of A, but watching Florida athletes compete often means more thrills during your 48 minutes of game time. The state is consistently at the top of heap when it comes to churning out NFL talent, and oh yeah, picture-perfect weather doesn't hurt, either.

Heading into the first weekend of October, Florida has five teams in USA TODAY's Top 25 rankings. Yes, one-fifth of the nation's best prep teams play right here.

And even at the smaller schools, there's still some amazing athletes to be seen. For example, in Ocala tonight, the Yulee Hornets are in town to take on Forest High, and this game could feature an NFL star in the making. Yulee's Derrick Henry, a 6'3, 225-lb sophomore running back, has run for 13 touchdowns in the team's first three games, each time finishing with over 300 yards rushing. Nuts!

If you're looking for an inexpensive way to see some great competition, school spirit, and perhaps a future pro star, check out a Florida football game tonight.
