On our recent trip to Jacksonville after a dreamy dinner at Jacksonville's III Forks Steakhouse & Seafood, my husband and I were ready to catch some ZZZs. Fortunately, our hotel was a short walk from the restaurant.

Hotel Indigo offers the amenities of a large hotel - fitness center, outdoor pool and whirlpool, free Internet access - with the uniqueness of a boutique hotel. Hubby and I immediately commented on the sealife mural and wooden floors in our room.

We also love the location. After my pig-out at III Forks, it was great to wake up and go for a run along the pedestrian-friendly surrounding streets.

Here's what Jennifer Bryant of VisitJacksonville.com had to say about Hotel Indigo:

"Hotel Indigo is one of our newer properties in Jacksonville. It's a very boutiquey hotel in the Tapestry Park area, which is a new developemtn in Jacksonville. There are several restaurants... within walking distance. It's a great location, because it's easy access to the beaches as well as downtown. Brand new property. Pet-friendly; they have the Cocktails and Canines event once a month, where you can bring your dog out to the patio and enjoy a beverage with your dog and hang out. So it's a fun property."

Tip: The hotel can be a bit tricky to find. (The neighborhood is so new that your GPS may not recognize it.) The mailing address is 9840 Tapestry Park Circle, but for GPS purposes, use 4800 Deer Lake Drive West.

Fun... and affordable. To reserve a room, call 904-996-7199 or visit Hotel Indigo's website. Also check out the hotel's special pricing offers.
