This seaside celebration is so tasty it might make you drool – literally!
St. Augustine Beach is always a tempting treat, but it promises to be positively delicious when the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association spoons-up its 5th annual "Taste of the Beach" extravaganza from 1 -6 p.m. on May 16, 2010 at the St. Augustine Beach Pier and Pavilion.
The event features a lineup of local, luscious restaurants like Pastabilities, Purple Olive, Sea Oats Caffe and many more who will be cooking up a feast of fun and competing for awards like People's Choice, Best Appetizer, Best Dessert and Best Entree.
You can gobble-up tickets for only $2, which can be used to purchase taste-size nibbles or full-size meals. And don’t worry your pretty-little-beach-bunny-head about being parched! Sodas, water, beer and wine will be available for sale.
Besides the melody of the waves, you’ll have Kenyon Dye and his online Piano Bar to soothe your soul.
This beach bonanza is even easy to get to: just hop on the shuttle bus running from Anastasia Square Plaza (1961 A1A South) to the Pier Pavilion from 12:30 - 6 pm.
The cherry on the cheesecake is that you can feel like a hero because proceeds from the event will assist in supporting Betty Griffin House, a private, non-profit agency that provides emergency shelter to abused women, men and their minor children.
