I recently happened upon a top 10 list of luxury beach hotels with surprisingly low rates (meaning, all offer nightly rates that are less than $250). Included in the list, which was compiled by Shermans Travel, were ritzy resorts in places like Greece, Vietnam, Costa Rica... and Delray Beach.
Yes, Delray Beach's Seagate Hotel & Spa, a luxury boutique resort that opened somewhat recently (in November 2009), made the list. And for good reason.
There's no question this place is luxurious, with its sophisticated and stylish guest rooms, private beach club, spa and signature upscale restaurant the Atlantic Grille. In fact, the Seagate was recently named to Condé Nast Traveler's 2010 "Hot List" of the best new hotels in the world.
And, there's a great deal going on right now. Through Sept. 30, you can stay for $159 per night, plus get a $50 nightly resort credit. It's called the "Gateway to Delray Summer Getaway" and you can get more information on this and other special packages at the Seagate Hotel & Spa website.
