LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival, April 17-18, 2010

By: Jill Martin

You’re invited to come and see some of the best regional and national artists all under the shade of Tallahassee’s beautiful canopy oaks at the 10th annual LeMoyne Chain of Parks Art Festival. LeMoyne is Tallahassee's most established gallery featuring local and regional artists. If you haven't been to the gallery, you should definitely pay a visit (and their gift shop is great too).
For those of you who've visited these parks before in downtown Tallahassee (just three blocks from the capital), you already know how serene and gorgeous they are. Now, imagine these shady grounds lined with 150 exhibiting artists from around the country. What a beautiful setting indeed.
The exclusive Chain of Parks Art Festival is one of North Florida’s premier cultural events. It’s also super family friendly and brings 40,000 visitors to the historic downtown area. And it’s exciting too, because the exhibitors compete for $10,000 in prizes and awards.
You’ll find everything from photography and sculpture to painting and more. And while you're in the area, be sure and take a walk around Lake Ella and stop in for some homemade brittle at Barb's Southern Style Brittle Shop. Yum! For more information, call 850.222.8800. Enjoy Tallahassee!
