Ever seen a lion eat an Easter egg? Or a chimp on an egg hunt? Kids aren’t the only ones who have fun with colored eggs and special treats at Easter time. Check out the animals at Lion Country Safari in West Palm Beach,
Friday, April 2 through Sunday, April 4, 2010, the animals at Lion Country Safari will receive Easter treats of all kinds. And you can be there to watch the fun. Talk about souvenir photos!
Come out early and watch the lions POUNCE on all kinds of Easter decorated toys and treats like bowling balls, ostrich eggs, papier-mâché piñata baskets and of course, Easter eggs. The primates get in on the action too, and they are a trip to watch! They’ll swing around and hunt for plastic eggs and baskets filled with goodies, hard boiled eggs, stuffed animals, even Jell-O! Giraffes and eland will even get goodies.
The folks at Lion Country Safari tell me that for the most ‘EGGshilarating’ experience, arrive early (the park opens at 9:30 a.m.). And in case you’re wondering why they do this, these enrichments bring out specific behavior in each species and it's good for them to let their hair down, too.
Discount coupons are available at CVS pharmacies throughout South Florida, and if you redeem them, a portion goes to help support Easter Seals. Coupons can be found on the Coca-Cola displays and at some store registers. Just ask!
Have a great time.
