The six best beaches for your break from the books.

Ready to dump your jacket and books in the nearest snowdrift and get some sand between your toes? These six, sweet Sunshine State beaches are ideal spring break escapes.

Clearwater Beach

Rich in art and culture, Clearwater Beach boasts white sand, calm, clear water and beach sports such as volleyball, jet skiing, parasailing, fishing and water biking. Try to spot dolphin. Enjoy spectacular sunsets and clean shoreline. Choose from abundant accommodations, dining and shopping. In the evening, boogie down to Pier 60 to check out the vendors, local artisans and free concerts.  

Average temperatures in March and April: high 74-80 degrees Fahrenheit, low 58-64.

Daytona Beach

Unwind at oceanfront hotels. Surf or play in the waves. Fort Myers Beach

Key West

South Beach

The nightlife and club scene are notorious. The beach is unbeatable. And the weather? It’s sweet.
