Zephyrhills is a small town with a farming history and a penchant for skydiving.
Zephyrhills, also known as "the friendly city of pure water," is just a short drive from the city of Tampa and from the Gulf of Mexico. Zephyrhills was founded over 100 years ago, but until March 1910, it was known as Abbott Station.
Zephyrhills is also a recognized skydiving destination.
The city of Zephyrhills has plenty to be recognized for - cattle ranches, poultry farms and citrus groves are just a few of the town's trademarks. The most well-recognized, though, is the pure spring water from seven of the deepest wells in Florida that is bottled and sold all over the world.
Zephyrhills is also a recognized skydiving destination. Hundreds of thrill-seekers visit every year to make the 13,000-foot jump over the beautiful, lush countryside.
The population in Zephyrhills grows considerably during the winter months, and that can only be attributed to the town's many comforts and features: mild, pleasant weather, recreational activities, and enjoyable living with a neighborly, leisurely, sociable feel.
