Located off I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, Port St. Lucie offers a convenient location and plenty of outdoor activities.

Located in the heart of Florida's Treasure Coast, Port St. Lucie is a growing urban area that has not forgotten about "the real Florida." Here visitors can hike environmental preserves, paddle down lush rivers, ride horses on nearby beaches, take in a major league spring training game and play a few rounds of championship golf.

Birdwatchers and outdoor enthusiasts will take pleasure in the natural surroundings found at the Oxbow Eco-Center and the Savannas Preserve State Park. The Oxbow, a 220-acre environmental education facility, offers three miles of trails through four distinctive habitats. The more than 5,000-acre preserve features camping, hiking and canoeing throughout its pine flatwoods and wet prairies. Scenic boat tours are also available along the St. Lucie River, where observers can spy river otters, alligators and a host of native birds tucked in among the mangroves at "Bird Island."

The newly renovated Thomas J. White Stadium creates a more fan-friendly atmosphere with "outfield" seating, a party terrace and luxury suites.

Sports fans have a lot to look forward to on their St. Lucie County vacation, including spring training camp for the New York Mets and home of the St. Lucie Mets. The newly renovated Digital Domain Park (formerly Thomas J. White Stadium) creates a more fan-friendly atmosphere with "outfield" seating, a party terrace and luxury suites.

Just a homerun shot away is PGA Village, home to 54 holes of Championship golf as well as the 35-acre PGA Center for for Golf Learning and Performance offering putting greens, bunkers, driving ranges and state-of-the-art video training equipment. There are more than a dozen golf courses through St. Lucie County designed by greats such as George and Jim Fazio, Chuck Ankrom, Pete Dye and Arthur Hills.

Gaming enthusiasts can also visit one of the few remaining Jai-Alai frontons in Florida at the Fort Pierce Jai-Alai and Poker - the "fastest game on Earth."

Conveniently located off Interstate 95 and the Florida Turnpike, Port St. Lucie is the perfect place to relax and unwind, away from the crowded cities of south and central Florida. Affordable accommodations are just minutes away from 21 miles of pristine beaches on nearby Hutchinson Island.
