Dania Beach

Dania Beach is known for its antiques and Jai Alai.

This charming small town boasts a Historic Downtown, neighborhoods with deep roots in the community, and hundreds of acres of preserved natural beauty, all representing the way south Florida used to be.

With historic roots dating back to the 1880’s when Flagler’s FEC railroad line was laid though the area, the original settlement of Modello, which was connected to Miami by a dirt road, was incorporated as the Town of Dania in 1904.

With easy access for visitors by air, land, rail and sea, Dania Beach is adjacent to both Port Everglades and Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport, and minutes to Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miami and South Beach.

It rapidly developed as the first hub of commerce emerged in the 1940's with the establishment of the first antique business, which flourished to become what is today know as "The Antique Capital of the South". There are over 100 shops and galleries in the newly redefined "Downtown Art & Antique District".
