Addison on Amelia Islandvia Facebook Believe it or not, February is National Sweet Potato Month. I love sweet potatoes. I like them baked with butter and a little cinnamon and I like them deep fried. There are some really good casseroles out there that are full of sweet potatoes. February shares many Food Holidays that we may not be celebrating in a timely manner. Yes, here is a list of the Food Holidays enjoyed during the month of February. • Canned Food Month • National Cherry Month • National Snack Food Month • Great American Pies Month • National Grapefruit Month February is also National Hot Breakfast Month which we celebrate every day, every month, right here at the Addison. Fort Foster is a reconstructed fort from the Second Seminole War (1830s). The event this weekend will include battle reenactments, Seminole reenactors, sutlers, traders and craft demonstrations.
