Description

Though the state shoe should be the flip-flop, you'll want to wear your walking shoes in several Florida locales. Walking tours illuminate downtowns, small towns and natural enclaves that are best experienced at a slower pace. To the north, duck into art galleries, museums and historic sites on a walking tour of Pensacola; centrally, make stops at Mount Dora's rail depot, lighthouse and antiques shops. Farther south, amble about Anna Maria Island, where boutiques and cafes complement beach boardwalks and Gulf of Mexico piers.
