Sunshine Island Innvia Facebook All is well at the osprey nest this week except I'm impatiently waiting the eggs to hatch. I know there wasn't any eggs on 1/12 as they had to rebuild their nest that day after the wind storm. There has to be eggs now as both ospreys are very protective of the nest. It takes 34 to 40 days for the eggs to hatch-so the earliest would be mid to late February. I can't wait until the chicks are 3 to 4 weeks old - that's when they stary exercising their wings on the edge of the nest. February 09, 2012 |
