St Joseph Bay scallops may be harvested recreationally from June 25th through September 23rd and a fishing license is required. Harvesting is limited to two gallons unshucked per person or one pint shucked per person. The maximum per boat is ten gallons unshucked or a half-gallon shucked. Scallops may only be harvested by hand or with the use of a landing or dip net in order to prevent damage to seagrass.
